Ladies. I had such a great day with all of you. It was so wonderful to share our thoughts and support each other through this.
Hurray, Patti joined us today. We all had great weight losses. I had 2.8, Linda P. had 7 and Linda B. had 1.4. All going in the right direction. Thank you Lord for giving us Sandee as our leader. I look so forward every week to seeing her and listening to her experiences that worked for her.
Tomorrow is the big game. Go Steelers!!!! Let's hope the team scores more points than we eat tomorrow. Be good.
Love ya all.

Swordfish Steak
Hey WWJS buddies. Tonight for dinner I tried a piece of Swordfish. Not bad. It was a much heartier fish than Tilapia. Tilapia is so light that sometime I feel hungry an hour later. Does anyone have any other recommendations? I tend to lean toward white fish. Definitely DO NOT like Salmon.
Tomorrow is Week 3 weigh in. Lord please bless all of us that we are on the right path to getting healthy. (and skinny...LOL).
Love to all.

Week 2 = 2
Second weigh in. Both Linda B. and I lost 2 pounds. We are moving in the right direction. Linda P. is recovering from her set back but is still counting points. She should have a great weigh in next week.
Linda B. has a important week ahead of her and we need to keep her in our prayers. Also, please pray that Lord relieves Linda P.'s pain. I don't mean my dad either. LOL.
Here we go on our way to week 3. We can do it. Thank for the support from our WWJS buddies.
Love to all.

Linda P. will do anything to get out of exercise. LOL
My poor mom. She took a spill in the kitchen and injured her knee, shoulder and elbow. We took her to Emergency Aftercare and we were told that she may need an MRI because she may have torn her miniscus. She is going to be in so much more pain tomorrow. Please God, I pray to you that you will take away her pain and comfort her. Thank you for Nicholas being there to help Grandma. He was very scared but stayed calm to help her.
On a much happier note, Bunko last night was great. We had such a great time. Linda B. chicken was excellent and very healthy for us. Everyone made something that we could enjoy. Fun was had by all. Thanks Linda B. You were a great host even though you were the biggest LOSER. LOL.
Love to all my WWJS buddies.

Way to go Linda B.
Hey there. My WWJS buddy had a really rough day today. She stayed on track with all of her points. It shows us that the buddy system is working. We are here to support each other. Linda is preparing to host our monthly Bunko. It will be a great time as always.
Mom and Patti have not weighed in yet but I know that they had a great weekend away and were still able to stay on track.
Dad, poor dad. He tried so hard this week writing everything down and then guess what. He GAINED 2 pounds! Don't give up Dad. You will get there.
Nick is thrilled. He lost one pound. Thank God. He keeps weighing himself expecting the scale to drop even more. I keep explaining to him, one day at a time.
Love to all my WWJS buddies.

Week 1 - Weigh In
Hurray. The first week is over. We all did great. Linda B. lost 4.4, I lost 6.4 and Linda P. and Patti are away for the weekend. Thank you Lord for guiding us through a difficult first week. We have encouraged each other every day and that has helped us stay motivated and strong.
We have Bunko this week with lots of goodies but our WWJS buddies will help us stay on track.
God Bless.
Lisa
P.S. Nick went a entire week with no pop. Yeah Nick! I am so proud of him.

Anybody Out There
Hey ladies,
I know that I am the one in the group who is the techno nerd but come on. Nobody has posted to our blog. We need to communicate with each other.
Tonight was the first time I went to a restaurant for dinner since I started WW this week. I think that I did great. I keep praising God because I really think that he is giving me the strength. I had a terrible day at work and normally the best thing that would cure that is CHOCOLATE. I got through it without it. Again, thank you Lord for being by my side.
Please pray that Nick can loose at least one pound this week. He has done awesome. He needs the scale to show him a loss so that he will believe in what he is doing.
Mom and Patti - have a great weekend away but be good. So much food to tempt you but your WWJS buddies have you in prayer for a safe trip and for you not to be tempted by all of the snacks. Keep warm but not to hot in the hotel room. LOL.
Thats all for now. One more day to the first weigh in. We can do it.
God Bless

Eating All Day Long
Well, I feel like I have been eating all day long. Everything has been very low in points. I love my Progresso Light soup everyday. I look forward to that. The day is almost over and I am not hungry at all. Praise God. Linda B. called me tonight and that was great to share our strategies together. Thanks Linda.
As I was putting Nick to bed tonight, we had a long talk about weight. He is learning and trying to be more conscience of what he is eating. I think that it is finally sinking in. Lord I pray that my son will learn and deal with his weight issues now before his entire life becomes burdened with them. I pray for him to make the right choices.
Congratulations Nick, no pop so far this week. Yeaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!
God Bless to all my WWJS buddies.
Love ya.

Thank God for Wegmans
$200.00 later I am finally stocked up and ready to go. Today really is day one for me now that I am feeling better. Wegmans makes it so easy for us. Everything is prepacked and easy for us to prepare. I actually made my lunch to bring to work tomorrow. Can you believe it. LOL. Susan will faint when I walk in carrying my lunch.
Mom had a tough day today. Being in a busy office doesn't give her the time to eat what she needs to. Dad, well, he went OVER his points. Dieting isn't so easy is it Dad. LOL.
Nick, Josh and Stephanie have a really tough next three days with NYS testing in school. Please pray that the Lord will give them the confidence that they need to complete these tests.
Lord, thank you for my WWJS buddies to help me.

Today is the beginning of forever......
Today is Saturday, January 10, 2009. Myself, Linda P. (Mom) and Linda B. joined our local WW group. Our leader Sandee is a fellow Sister in Christ from our church. I am so excited. I have prayed on this for so long that the Lord will put me on the right path. As I have grown closer to all of you at Browncroft, I have felt such an overwhelming desire to succeed at this. I have never felt the prayers and support that I do right now. Praise God.
My son Nicholas is very excited about trying our new healthy lifestyle. He loves trying to figure out everything using our points tracker.
This blog is just for us girlies to chat on. I will not share anything here with anyone in the public. It is for us to share, inspire, pray, support each other whenever we may need it. Please feel free to post anything on this at anytime. I will show you how. Remember, we are doing this, WW Jesus Style!
God Bless
